Acceptance of these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Vow Science LLC, doing business as Vow Peptides (“Vow”, “we”, “us”), covering vowscience.com and the products sold through it. Creating an account, placing an order, or using the site means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not order.
Our shipping and returns policy, privacy policy, and accessibility statement form part of this agreement.
Research use only
Everything we sell is supplied for laboratory research only, to people equipped to handle research chemicals in a controlled setting. Our peptides are supplied as lyophilized powder in sealed vials. Our products are not food, drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices, and they are not formulated, labeled, or intended for administration to people or animals. No regulatory authority has reviewed or approved them for use in people or animals.
We are a research chemical supplier, not a pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, or outsourcing facility. Nothing on this site is medical advice or a recommendation for use. Product descriptions, literature references, and technical data are scientific context, never instructions for use.
Your representations as a buyer
Each time you place an order, you represent that:
- you are buying solely for laboratory research, not for any use in a human or animal body;
- you are qualified by training or experience to handle, store, and dispose of research chemicals safely, or you work under the direction of someone who is;
- you will not administer any product to yourself, another person, or an animal, and will not transfer it to anyone you have reason to believe intends to;
- your use will comply with applicable federal, state, and local law and with your institution’s own policies;
- the details you give us, including your name, delivery address, payment method, and research-use declaration, are accurate and yours to give;
- you are not named on a United States government restricted-party list, and are not ordering for anyone who is.
Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. At checkout we ask you to confirm your age and accept a research-use declaration, and an order cannot be placed without it. We sell and deliver within the United States only, and we do not arrange export.
Your account and accurate information
You are responsible for your credentials and for everything done under your account. Contact us as soon as you suspect it has been used without your permission. Keep your contact and delivery details current; we are not responsible for a shipment sent to an address you entered incorrectly. We may suspend or close an account that carries false information or is used in a way these terms prohibit.
Orders and order acceptance
An order is an offer to buy. An order confirmation tells you we have received it; the order becomes a contract when we send a shipping confirmation for the items concerned. Until then we may decline or cancel any order, in whole or in part, for any lawful reason, including suspected fraud, an apparent intent to use a product in a person or animal, a stock shortage, or a listing error. We refund anything already charged for canceled items to the original payment method, and we may limit quantities per order, account, or address.
Pricing and pricing errors
Prices are in US dollars and shown on each product page. Prices, promotions, and availability can change without notice, but never for an order we have already accepted.
Listings are prepared carefully, and mistakes still happen. Where an item is published with an obviously incorrect price, description, or availability, we may correct the listing and cancel any order placed against it, including after a confirmation has been sent. Those orders are refunded in full; we are not obliged to supply at an incorrect price.
Taxes
Prices exclude sales tax. Where we are required to collect state or local sales tax, it is calculated at checkout from your delivery address. Any other tax, duty, or fee arising from your purchase or your use of a product is yours to pay. Send exemption documentation through our contact page before ordering; we cannot apply an exemption afterwards.
Payment
Payment is due in full before dispatch, by a method offered at checkout. Submitting an order authorizes us and our payment processor to charge the full total, including shipping and tax, and confirms you are entitled to use that method. Card payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway, and we never store full card numbers; see our privacy policy. If a payment is reversed or disputed, we may hold pending orders and suspend the account until the matter is settled.
Shipping, title, and risk of loss
We deliver within the United States only. Orders ship 2-Day Air with tracking. Shipping is free on orders of $250 or more; below that, a $20 flat rate applies. Processing times and delivery windows are set out in our shipping and returns policy. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, and once a parcel is with the carrier its progress is outside our control.
Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier takes possession of the shipment. Even so, we handle loss and damage in transit as our shipping and returns policy describes, including the evidence and the reporting window we need.
Returns and refunds
Because the integrity of a research chemical depends on unbroken handling, we cannot take back a product once it has left our control. We will replace or refund shipments damaged in transit, incorrect or missing items, parcels lost in transit, duplicate orders reported before they ship, and material that does not match its certificate. We do not accept returns of opened or used products, products stored improperly after delivery, orders canceled after shipment, or change-of-mind purchases, and claims must be made within 30 days of delivery (48 hours for transit damage). The full conditions are in the shipping and returns policy, which forms part of these terms.
We sometimes issue store credit: refund credit, which we issue in place of a cash refund when you agree to it, or as a courtesy for a delay or order problem; and promotional credit, which we give at no cost to you. Store credit has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another account, and applies to products only, not to shipping or tax. Refund credit does not expire. Promotional credit expires one year after it is issued unless a different period is stated when we issue it, and it is issued per person, not per account, so linked or duplicate accounts count as one. We may void credit obtained through fraud, duplicate accounts, a system error, a reversed payment, or a breach of these terms.
Certificates of analysis
We publish a lot-specific certificate of analysis in our certificate archive before a lot is offered for sale. A certificate reports the results of the tests it names, on samples drawn from that lot, on the date it records.
That is all it does. It is not a warranty of performance, stability, or fitness for your protocol, and it does not certify that the material is safe, suits a particular application, or is unchanged after it leaves us: reconstitution, temperature excursions, freeze-thaw cycles, and time all act on a lyophilized peptide. Verify identity and purity yourself where your work depends on it, and if your results disagree with the certificate for your lot, send us the lot number before drawing conclusions.
Handling, storage, disposal, and safety
Once a shipment reaches you, safe handling is your responsibility. Research chemicals can be hazardous, and their toxicological properties are often not fully characterized. You agree to:
- work only in premises equipped for research chemical handling, with appropriate protective equipment and containment;
- store material as labeled, in its original container, away from children, animals, and anyone untrained;
- carry out your own risk assessment before use and keep your own handling records;
- dispose of unused material, vials, and contaminated consumables under federal, state, and local waste rules, never in household waste and never down a drain.
Prohibited uses
You must not, and must not let anyone else:
- ingest, inject, inhale, apply, or otherwise introduce any product into a human or animal body;
- use any product for diagnostic, therapeutic, preventive, cosmetic, or clinical purposes;
- use any product as, or in, a food, drug, supplement, cosmetic, or medical device;
- repackage, relabel, dilute, or compound any product, or present it in a way that obscures our labeling or its research-use designation;
- resell or distribute any product without our written agreement, or supply anyone you have reason to believe intends a prohibited use;
- export any product from the United States;
- scrape, probe, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the site;
- use our name, marks, or certificates to imply an approval or a claim we have not made.
Breaching this section ends your right to buy from us, and we may close your account without refunding store credit.
Intellectual property
The site and its contents, including text, photography, layout, the Vow and Vow Peptides names and marks, our certificate presentation, and the code behind it, belong to us or our licensors. You may browse the site and keep copies of pages or certificates for your own research records. Anything further needs our written permission. Compound names used to describe what we sell imply no relationship with, or endorsement by, the holders of related marks.
Disclaimer of warranties
Products and the site are supplied “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim every warranty, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site is uninterrupted or error-free, or that descriptions, literature references, and technical figures are complete or current.
The one assurance we do give is that, when it ships, a product matches the identity and purity reported on the certificate published for its lot. If you believe a product does not, tell us within 30 days of delivery and give us the lot number. If our investigation confirms the non-conformity, we will replace the product or refund what you paid for it, which is your exclusive remedy for a non-conforming product.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, lost research time, ruined experiments, business interruption, or the cost of substitute goods, under any theory, and even if we were told such loss was possible.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a product, an order, or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some states do not permit certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless Vow Science LLC and its officers, employees, and suppliers against any claim, loss, liability, penalty, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your handling, use, storage, transfer, or disposal of a product, or your violation of law or of another person’s rights.
Communications
We send transactional email, such as order confirmations, shipping notices, and account notices, as part of running your order. Marketing email is opt-in, and you can leave at any time through the unsubscribe link in any message or by telling us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional email. See our privacy policy for the rest.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Vow Science LLC is organized, without regard to that state’s conflict-of-laws rules, together with applicable federal law. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Before either side starts a formal proceeding, it will give the other written notice, ours to your account email and yours to [email protected], describing the dispute and the outcome sought, and both will spend 30 days trying to settle it. A dispute that is not settled will be decided by the state or federal courts located in the state in which Vow Science LLC is organized, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The current version is posted here with the date it took effect. A revision applies to orders placed after that date; the version in force when we accepted your order governs that order. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that provision is narrowed only as far as needed to make it valid. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement between us. You may not assign your rights without our written consent; we may assign ours as part of a sale of the business.
Contact
Questions about these terms, an order, or a certificate go to [email protected] or through our contact page. We reply Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays, and answer most messages within one business day.
